Wow – what a spectacular event yesterday! Many thanks to those of you who were able to make it – the food was amazing, the sense of community outstanding and the commitment to Slow Food as strong as ever (we signed up 5 new family memberships – over 80 in our convivium now)! We had an amazing lunch of food prepared by many hands (over 70 in attendance yesterday), our program leaders spoke to their events and encouraged volunteerism, Beth Vader educated us about Maple Syrup, we presented our Food Declaration – many signed the pledge, the kids coloured and ran about – it was wonderful! For those of you we missed – we hope you are well and wanted to let you know what’s going on with Slow Food the County for the balance of 2008. Here is our list of the activities that you can volunteer for – if you are interested please respond to info@slowfoodthecounty.ca and indicate which event(s) you’d like to participate in: - Spring 2008 - Edible Education Garden (CML Snider School, Wellington) lead by Lorren Leville
